Depend of your arrival time we’ll start the 8 day desert tour from Marrakech by having a guided tour of Marrakesh. Today You will explore the main attractions and monuments Places of the city including the famous Jamma el Fna square, Koutoubia mosque, the souks, palaces, and museums. We’ll also explore parts of the city such as Gueliz, The Menara Garden, and Marjol garden. Overnight
Today your tour kicks off with a view of the Atlas Mountains as we snake through the Tizi-n-Tichka pass to the Unesco World Heritage site of Ait Ben Haddou, famous on the big screen for movies like the Gladiator and the famous HBO series Game of Thrones.
After we continue to Ouarzazate to visit Atlas Film Studios and a Kasbah located in the city. We’ll continue our tour from Marrakesh towards the valley of Roses, famous for its annual Festival of roses. Then drive to Dades Gorge where we spend this night in a local hotel/riad.
Here, After breakfast, Continue our tour to visit Todra Gorge, a colorful narrow canyon famous for outdoor lovers. We’ll continue through the Ziz Valley to reach Erfoud, an oasis town known as the gate to the Sahara desert and recognized for its unique fossils.
There we can visit a local factory which produces artisans and house decor made from fossils, there is also a local shop where you may purchase such items as souvenirs.
Drive towards Rissani, where we’ll visit the local souk and then drive in direction of the desert to reach Merzouga. Overnight in local Riad/hotel.
This day will be spent exploring the Merzouga desert. You’ll get a chance to “do your own thing”, with the option of camel trekking, or exploring via the comfort of a 4×4. We’ll also visit the Khamlia village famous for its traditional music.
We simply can’t miss the opportunity of appreciating the sunset behind the dunes of the bewildering Sahara desert.
We leave the vehicle and begin our camel ride into the desert dunes, accompanied by experienced guides, arriving at the Merzouga Desert Camp where we’ll stay overnight in Berbere tents. This spectacular night will be rendered unforgettable with a unique and traditional starlit Berbere dinner topped off by tribal music around a desert campfire.
Wake up early in the morning to enjoy the view of the sunrise over the dunes, then take a camel ride back to the Hotel. After a hearty moroccan Breakfast and shower, we will leave for Ziz valley, here we will stop for you to admire a wonderful panoramic view of Ziz palm oasis and Ziz gorges. Lunch will be in Midelt, then we will continue to Azrou by crossing the Middle Atlas mountains with its cedar forest, where we will find wild monkeys waiting for you to feed them. Before arriving to Fes, we will stop for a while to have rest in Ifrane, a European-style town that is called also Switzerland of Morocco. At the evening we will arrive to Fes, Overnight and dinner at the Riad.
After Breakfast in your Riad, You will move to start exploring the Fes medina (Founded in the 8th Century by Moulay DrissII), with a local tour Guide, among the interesting parts you will visit are:
The Royal palace gate, the Jewish headquarter (was built in the 16th century and considered as the first Mellah in Morocco), the world’s oldest university Al Qarawiyin, the Tanneries and Moulay Driss mausoleum.
You can spend the afternoon exploring the fascinating medina before having dinner at a local restaurant. We’ll spend the night in Fes at a local riad/hotel.
Commence the Trip in the morning to leave Fes for visiting the Roman ruin of “Walili” -Volubilis-, great ruins with a stunning scenery that will grape your attention when you are about to explore them.
Afterward, we will drive to Meknes. In Meknes city. you will visit Bab El Mansour, Moulay Idris Zerhoun, and more are historical spots that Meknes is famous for. To spend the night we will proceed to Casablanca
Today we’ll visit the main attractions and monuments in Casablanca including Hassan II Mosque. Then, after lunch at a local restaurant, we’ll drive back to Marrakesh where our tour end of your 8 Days desrt trip from Marrakech.
